October 24

The kids and I did end up going up to see PD over the weekend. I drove out Friday afternoon and drove home Sunday afternoon. Quick trip, no? But it was well worth it.

Lazy days when it's rainy

It was rainy on Friday.

It was sunny on Saturday.

Now it's cloudy and rainy again today.

Result?

The kids and I stayed at home. All day.

I vacuumed and swept all over. I finished the laundry. The kids finished their homework. The kids played videogames and watched DVDs. They play-roled upstairs with their stuffed animals. So...I took a nap. Yeah!

Win-win-win!!!

Falling back...

It's time again for daylight savings. ARGH!

When I lived in Arizona, I didn't have to deal with changing the clocks twice a year. I found this terrific when the kids were born. No need to adjust their daily or nightly routines. I just put them to bed the same time every day.But now we live in CA and we've got to adjust our clocks tonight. [sigh]

PD and I continue to have short conversations during the week. Not every day. Once every 2 or 3 days. Then we've got our Sunday night talks.

I do know that I make PD uncomfortable when I ask him probing questions. He doesn't say he's uncomfortable but I know he's not at ease when I ask him question after question. Who would be comfortable when in the line of fire?

Middle School Obstacles

I found out that my daughter is having some issues at school.

No. It's not boy trouble.

I talked to PD last night. He was tired but we had a good conversation. I asked him again about Michelle.
