I was told last week that one of my co-workers would taking medical leave for the next few weeks.
One of the ladies from our satellite office was going in for surgery for a double mastectomy.
She is a very healthy and tiny lady.
We are all reeling at the news.
We sent her a gift basket with a couple books, magazines, CDs, and DVDs. We included some restaurant gift cards as well. This way she and her husband can have a nice meal together without having to cook or clean.
When something like this is brought to light, we all tend to take a look at our own lives. Check where we're at with our health. Hug the ones we love. Speak more tenderly with everyone we care for. Especially during this time of Thanksgiving, let's count the blessings we have in our lives.
